Built at the request of Mike Campbell himself, the “Mike Campbell II” features all-hollow construction, a pair of Duesenberg Domino P90 pickups, Master Volume & Tone controls, and the “Destruct” knob - an integrated booster. Finished in stunning Metallic Red with Mike’s trademark racing stripes Few guitar players have created a following and the respect among their fans and peers as much as Mike Campbell of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers. Mike’s incomparable playing style and songwriting over the years has left its mark on rock & roll history, and Duesenberg has had the privilege of being a part of it. All Editions come with our own premium pickups. The blue and green versions are fitted with our acclaimed set of pickups that combines the sharp tone of a bridge humbucker with the warmth of a P90 in the neck position. The red all-hollow version features two P90 pickups for a pure and raw hollow tone.
Just like all our instruments, the Alliance Mike Campbell receives our elaborate Plek treatment. A pleked fretboard guarantees perfectly level frets. This is the basis for our fret polishing and setup work all done by hand that eventually makes our instruments play like nothing you have ever played before.
