This Hofner semi acoustic guitar contains a spruce centre block. This adds to the sustain of the instrument. It also helps to fight off uncontrollable feedback, which is great if you are on stage playing at higher volumes. The Hofner Verythin 3 also includes a slimline body, which has a thinner depth than that of a more traditional semi hollow. Although the weight varies with any guitar, on the whole they tend to be fairly light, and extra comfortable to play. The overall aesthetic of the guitar is retro with a classic Sunburst finish on the spruce and flamed maple body. Compared to the standard model this Hofner Verythin 3 has a different pickup arrangement, with three separate Bar Single Coil pickups. These are in the bridge, middle and neck positions. Each pickup can be switched off or on. There is an overall tone and volume control. Tones from this Semi are of the highest quality, which makes this instrument excellent value for money.
