In the guitar industry there was one man who was responsible for establishing the world market, David Magagna. David Magagna was the first salesman for Martin Guitars and worked his way up to Vice President before leaving to establish and grow international sales for Taylor Guitars, David has replicated his formula of service, sarcastic wit and aligning with great companies like the aforementioned and Guild, Lowden, PRS and eventually with Riversong Guitars. After coming out of retirement he told Mike Miltimore that he has “a very low threshold for boredom and that Riversong is the only company that is doing anything of interest”.

Since that infamous first meeting David established and grew Riversong’s International business on his reputation for quality and contacts around the world. David felt strongly that the Riversong line needed another model which he designed with Mike, known as the Riversong Magagna G2.  Sadly David Magagna has passed away and we will be greatly missed.

This guitar body shape is called the JA (Jumbo Auditorium) After a mistaken drawing was used to build the forms, the resultant guitar was a ¼" larger all the way around.  This "Happy Mistake" created a unique body shape that is also thin for an amazing sounding and feeling guitar.  This model was the first to feature our Skeletized Bracing and X-braced back.  It includes all Riversong features such as skeletized
bracing, double reaction bridge, top and back X-bracing, Neck -Thru Adjustable
neck, Truetonation system, diffuser disc, free floating top, and sideport.
