With nearly 40 years of expertise, Tagima has grown into a global name, reaching 18 countries and counting. The company was originally founded in Japan in 1986 by Ney Nakamura and luthier Seizi Tagima.Tagima’s international journey began when Brazil's  Marutec acquired the brand in 1996. Under Ney Nakamura's leadership, the company focused on building strong artist partnerships and delivering exceptional instruments. In 2017, Tagima USA was launched to bring Brazilian guitars to the world stage.
