Yairi

In the hills north of Nagoya, Japan, the Yairi workshop in Kani carries forward more than eighty years of guitar-building tradition. Generations of skilled luthiers share their knowledge at the workbench, shaping instruments with a level of care that extends from the selection of naturally seasoned tonewoods to the final finishing touches.

Every neck is shaped by hand, braces are carefully carved, and soundboards are individually voiced. This patient approach gives Yairi guitars their distinctive appeal: refined craftsmanship, comfortable playability and an expressive response that rewards the player’s touch.

Traditional methods meet thoughtful innovation throughout the range. In the Masterworks and Honduran Series, FST6 bracing uses lighter braces to encourage a more open voice, rich tonal colour and clear bass response. Carefully chosen woods including Adirondack spruce, vintage Californian redwood, East Indian rosewood and Honduran mahogany bring individual character to each model.

From intimate parlors and balanced Folk/OM designs to full-bodied dreadnoughts, versatile Grand Auditoriums and classical instruments, Yairi offers a guitar for a wide range of musical voices. Selected acoustic-electric models feature LR Baggs systems for the flexibility to take that craftsmanship onto the stage.

For players who value the connection between sound, feel and the hands that built their instrument, Yairi offers something enduring: a guitar made with care, ready to become part of your music.
