The Bourgeois The Standard/TS L-DBO brings Depression-era styling to a comfortable, expressive acoustic. An Aged Tone torrefied Sitka spruce top pairs with solid mahogany back and sides for a warm, focused voice suited to fingerpicking, blues and rhythmic accompaniment.

Its manageable L-DBO body offers an inviting playing experience, with clear note definition and woody acoustic character. From melodic passages to fuller chords, The Standard rewards a varied touch.

The soundboard is hand-voiced in Bourgeois’ Lewiston, Maine workshop before final construction at Eastman. This collaborative approach brings Bourgeois’ attention to tonal balance and responsiveness to the Touchstone range.

Vintage herringbone purfling, ivoroid binding and a sunburst finish establish its traditional appearance. An ebony fingerboard, rectangular ziricote bridge and single-ring ivoroid rosette complete the appointments.

Schaller tuners with oval ivoroid buttons add a classic finishing touch. Supplied with a hardshell case, The Standard/TS L-DBO is a distinctive companion for songwriting, recording and everyday playing.
