Few guitar players have created a following and the respect among their fans and peers as much as Mike Campbell of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers. Mike’s incomparable playing style and songwriting over the years has left its mark on rock & roll history, and Duesenberg has had the privilege of being a part of it.
Duesenberg first introduced Mike’s hot rod-inspired signature model in 2007 to celebrate the band’s 30th anniversary. The original Starplayer TV Mike Campbell features a blue sparkle finish with white racing stripes, and a nickel pickguard engraved with Mike’s signature.
In 2017, Duesenberg honoured another milestone for the seminal band by introducing an all-new colour. The Mike Campbell 40th Anniversary model is bathed in a stunning Catalina Green sparkle finish, with Mike’s trademark racing stripes as well as the personalized pickguard featuring an updated 40th anniversary logo.
When Mike Campbell played his Starplayer TV during the 2008 Super Bowl halftime break show with "Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers", it immediately became a milestone for Duesenberg history and an icon around the world.

Mike has been a close friend ever since.
All Editions come with our own premium pickups. The blue and green versions are fitted with our acclaimed set of pickups that combines the sharp tone of a bridge humbucker with the warmth of a P90 in the neck position. The red all-hollow version features two P90 pickups for a pure and raw hollow tone.
Just like all our instruments, the Alliance Mike Campbell receives our elaborate Plek treatment. A pleked fretboard guarantees perfectly level frets. This is the basis for our fret polishing and setup work all done by hand that eventually makes our instruments play like nothing you have ever played before.
