A Les Paul at a Price Anyone Can Afford

Epiphone's number one selling model LP Special II is a great way for beginners to get started on guitar while getting the feel and tone of a Les Paul. Seasoned pros also love the Special II because it's a great-sounding workhorse of a guitar that allows them to leave their more expensive axes at home.

Trademarked Les Paul body with a bolt-on "1960's" SlimTaper mahogany neck.

Voiced by a pair of hot open-coil humbucker pickups.

Superior Materials and Design Makes a Superior Value

The Les Paul Special II's authentic LP power starts with an all-mahogany, trademarked Les Paul body with a bolt-on "1960's" SlimTaper mahogany neck featuring a rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays.

Famous Les Paul Tone

The Special II is voiced by a pair of hot open-coil Epiphone 700T and 650R humbucker pickups for that massive unmistakable Les Paul tone. Like all of Epiphone's electric guitars, the Special II comes standard-equipped with 500K potentiometers for the Master Volume and Master Tone controls, plus Epiphone's heavy-duty 3-way pickup selector toggle switch and exclusive non-rotating heavy-duty output jack.

Epiphone Hardware

Features LockTone locking Tune-o-matic bridge.

The Les Paul Special II also features Nickel hardware including the Epiphone LockTone locking Tune-o-matic bridge and StopBar tailpiece for amazing sustain and even more mind-blowing value. It comes in your choice of Ebony, Heritage Cherry Sunburst, and Vintage Sunburst color finishes and also in a special Wine Red version with black hardware. There is even a left-handed version in Heritage Cherry Sunburst or Vintage Sunburst finishes for southpaws.

About Epiphone

Epiphone is one of American's oldest and most revered instrument makers and since 1873, Epiphone has made instruments for every style of popular music. The name evokes both history and the spirit of invention. Epiphone has been an audible presence in every great musical era from the mandolin craze of the early 1900s to jazz age guitars of the 1920s. From swing-era archtops through post-war pop, jazz, R&B, and early rock n' roll. From the "British Invasion" to heavy metal, punk, grunge, and thrash. And now, in the 21st century, new Epiphone technical breakthroughs such as the ProBucker pickup, series parallel switching, built-in KillSwitch pots, the Shadow NanoFlex and NanoMag pickup systems, and premier acoustic/electric guitars with the eSonic preamp have brought the historic name to a new generation.
