Alvarez LD70e Herringbone Sunset – Laureate Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar (with AFC30 FlexiCase)

Overview

The Alvarez LD70e Herringbone Sunset is a beautifully crafted, all-solid dreadnought acoustic-electric guitar that combines premium tonewoods, traditional styling, and the exceptional craftsmanship of Alvarez's Laureate Series.

Featuring an AAA solid North American Sitka spruce top paired with solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, the LD70e delivers a rich, powerful acoustic voice with deep bass, articulate mids, and shimmering highs. Its classic dreadnought body provides impressive projection and dynamic range, making it equally suited to fingerstyle playing, flatpicking, and full-bodied strumming.

Built with Alvarez's meticulous bench-made approach, the Laureate Series features individually selected structural components and hand-finished FS6 forward-shifted bracing. This refined construction enhances resonance, tonal balance, and responsiveness, allowing the guitar to perform beautifully across a wide range of playing styles.

The elegant Sunset Gloss finish is complemented by traditional herringbone detailing and ivoroid binding, giving the guitar a timeless, vintage-inspired appearance. Premium ebony appointments, abalone inlays, a traditional single-level ebony bridge, and open-gear tuners complete its refined styling.

With its comfortable 14-fret neck joint, full 25½-inch scale length, and spacious 1¾-inch nut width, the LD70e offers excellent playability and articulation for a variety of musical styles.
