The Alvarez MDA66SHB pairs all-solid African mahogany construction with elegant appointments and a striking Shadowburst finish. Its dreadnought body delivers a warm, punchy voice with rich mids, focused bass, and the dry, woody character that makes mahogany such an expressive choice for rhythm playing, fingerpicking, and recording.

Solid African mahogany is used for the top, back, and sides, supported by Alvarez’s FS6 forward-shifted bracing with tapered tone bars. This carefully considered construction encourages soundboard response and projection while retaining clear note definition.

The Shadowburst gloss finish highlights the mahogany grain, framed by hand-crafted paua abalone purfling and acacia binding. Paua abalone and mother-of-pearl inlays, a rosewood headstock plate, and gold die-cast tuners with ebony buttons give the MDA66SHB a distinctive, refined appearance.

A one-piece mahogany neck with a semi-gloss finish provides a comfortable playing feel. The 25½" scale length, 1¾" nut width, and 14-fret neck joint offer a familiar platform for chord work and melodic passages, while the bi-level Indian laurel/rosewood bridge, ebony bridge pins, and real bone nut and saddle complete its premium appointments.
