The Alvarez MD70e Herringbone delivers a powerful, open dreadnought voice with the clarity and responsiveness flatpickers and strummers appreciate. Its solid AAA Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides produce deep, resonant bass, shimmering trebles, and rich overtones with clear definition across all six strings.

FS6 forward-shifted bracing supports an immediate response and broad dynamic range, allowing individual notes to stand out and full chords to ring with depth and separation. Whether driving a bluegrass rhythm or picking melodic passages, the MD70e offers strong projection and a balanced, expressive sound.

Traditional appointments include herringbone detailing, premium mother-of-pearl inlays, open-gear tuners, and a tortoiseshell-style pickguard. A natural gloss finish highlights the solid tonewoods, while the rosewood fingerboard and bi-level bridge complete its classic appearance.

Equipped with an LR Baggs HiFi pickup system, the MD70e brings its full acoustic voice to amplified performance. Includes an AFC30 Flexicase.
