The Yairi DYMR70SB combines the depth and projection of a dreadnought with the inviting feel of a traditional 12-fret design. Handcrafted in Kani, Japan, it pairs a solid AAA Sitka spruce top with solid East Indian rosewood back and sides for a full, expressive voice, complemented by a classic gloss Sunburst finish.

Sitka spruce brings clarity and dynamic range, while rosewood adds deep bass and rich harmonic detail. The DYMR70SB responds to delicate fingerpicking with sensitivity and opens up under stronger strumming, giving broad chord voicings fullness while keeping individual notes defined.

The neck joins the body at the 12th fret, bringing the fretting hand closer to the body while retaining a full 25½-inch scale length. Combined with a 44 mm nut width, this layout provides a comfortable platform for intricate fingerstyle work and relaxed chord playing.

Hand-carved FST2 forward-shifted bracing with asymmetric tone bars supports balance and projection. Yairi’s ebony Direct Coupled bridge transfers string vibration into the soundboard, complemented by an extended dovetail neck joint. Naturally seasoned premium tonewoods reflect the patient preparation behind the Masterworks series.

A one-piece mahogany neck with a semi-gloss finish meets an ebony fingerboard. Ivoroid binding, abalone and mother-of-pearl details, and gold Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony buttons complete the refined appearance. Supplied with a hardshell case, the DYMR70SB brings traditional character and meticulous Japanese craftsmanship to a versatile acoustic instrument.
