The Yairi FYM66HD showcases the warmth and character of vintage Honduran mahogany in a comfortable Folk/OM body. Handcrafted in Kani, Japan, its solid mahogany top, back and sides are made from old-growth wood naturally seasoned for approximately fifty years, giving this Honduran Series instrument a distinctive heritage.

Its all-mahogany construction delivers a rich, warm voice with strong mids and round, full trebles. Responsive to a lighter touch, the FYM66HD suits fingerstyle arrangements, blues picking and intimate vocal accompaniment, while offering impressive projection for its body size.

The lightweight build and thin gloss finish contribute to a lively playing experience. Hand-carved FST2 forward-shifted bracing with asymmetric tone bars supports balance and responsiveness, paired with Yairi’s ebony Direct Coupled bridge and extended dovetail neck joint.

A one-piece mahogany neck with a semi-gloss finish meets an ebony fingerboard, with a 25-inch scale length and 44 mm nut width providing a comfortable platform for intricate chords and melodic playing. The neck joins the body at the 14th fret, preserving familiar Folk/OM proportions.

Ivoroid binding frames the natural mahogany, while an ebony headstock plate and gold Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony buttons complete the understated appearance. A bone nut, TUSQ™ saddle and ebony bridge pins round out the appointments. Supplied with a hardshell case, the FYM66HD combines exceptional wood selection with meticulous Japanese craftsmanship.
