Yairi DYM72 Masterworks Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar w/ Hardshell Case – Natural
The Yairi DYM72 brings the clarity and dynamic range of premium Adirondack spruce to a full-bodied Masterworks dreadnought. Handcrafted in Kani, Japan, it pairs an Adirondack spruce top with solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, creating an expressive acoustic voice with depth, projection and rich harmonic detail.
Adirondack spruce offers headroom for strong strumming and flatpicking while retaining definition in more delicate passages. Rosewood adds a deep low end and complex overtones, giving chords breadth and melodic lines a full, ringing character. The dreadnought body makes the DYM72 a rewarding choice for players seeking acoustic presence and a wide dynamic range.
Hand-carved FST6 forward-shifted bracing with asymmetric tone bars uses lighter braces to encourage soundboard movement while maintaining structural support. Yairi’s ebony Direct Coupled bridge transfers string vibration into the top, complemented by an extended dovetail neck joint and careful attention to the instrument’s construction.
A one-piece mahogany neck with a semi-gloss finish meets an ebony fingerboard, with a 25½-inch scale length and 44 mm nut width providing a versatile platform for chord work, melodic picking and fingerstyle playing. The neck joins the body at the 14th fret, preserving familiar dreadnought proportions.
The natural gloss finish highlights the tonewoods, framed by ivoroid binding and abalone and mother-of-pearl details. Gold Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony buttons, a bone nut and saddle, and ebony bridge pins complete the appointments. Supplied with a hardshell case, the DYM72 combines premium materials with meticulous Japanese craftsmanship.
