The Eastman AR905CE-BD-TC is a 16" Venetian archtop that shares the same Thermo-Cure pedigree as the larger AR910CE — bringing that acoustically aged, opened-up response to a slightly more intimate body size. Both the solid spruce top and solid hand-carved maple back and sides have undergone Eastman’s Thermo-Cure process, yielding the projecting, complex tone typically found only in vintage instruments that have years of playing behind them. The floating Lollar Johnny Smith pickup translates every nuance of that acoustic voice with pristine clarity, while snakewood binding throughout the body, fingerboard, f-holes, and headstock, pearl and abalone diamond inlays, an ebony pickguard with snakewood binding, and gold Schaller tuners place this firmly in the realm of world-class jazz archtops. Includes a hardshell case.
