Eastman E20D-TC-LSH Thermo-Cured Large Soundhole Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar (with Hardshell Case) – Natural

The Eastman E20D-TC-LSH combines vintage-inspired design, premium solid tonewoods, and exceptional craftsmanship in a powerful, beautifully appointed dreadnought acoustic guitar. Inspired by the legendary bluegrass instruments of the golden era, this distinctive model features an enlarged soundhole designed to enhance projection, clarity, and tonal presence, making it an outstanding choice for flatpickers, bluegrass musicians, and players seeking a bold, expressive acoustic voice.

Developed in collaboration with The Acoustic Shoppe, the E20D-TC-LSH draws inspiration from the iconic large-soundhole dreadnoughts associated with legendary bluegrass guitarists. Its unique design delivers impressive volume, exceptional articulation, and the rich, commanding character that has made traditional dreadnought guitars a favourite among professional musicians.

At the heart of the E20D-TC-LSH is a solid Thermo-Cured Adirondack Spruce top paired with solid Rosewood back and sides, producing a powerful, harmonically rich voice with deep, resonant bass, articulate midrange, and sparkling highs. Adirondack Spruce is prized for its exceptional dynamic range, impressive headroom, and powerful projection, while Eastman's Thermo-Curing process enhances the top's responsiveness, helping capture the open, mature tonal character associated with well-played vintage instruments.

Traditional hand-carved scalloped X-bracing allows the top to resonate freely, enhancing sustain, tonal depth, and dynamic sensitivity. Combined with the enlarged soundhole, this construction provides excellent note separation and projection, allowing the guitar to respond beautifully to everything from delicate fingerstyle passages to aggressive flatpicking and full-bodied strumming.

The comfortable mahogany neck features Eastman's Traditional Even "C" profile, while the smooth ebony fingerboard provides effortless playability across all 20 frets. A 1-3/4" bone nut offers comfortable string spacing, and the 25.4" scale length delivers excellent string tension, articulation, and tonal definition. The ebony bridge and bone saddle further contribute to the guitar's natural sustain and resonance.

Elegant, understated appointments distinguish the E20D-TC-LSH, including traditional herringbone binding, a tortoise shell pickguard, an unadorned ebony fingerboard, and a clean headstock featuring the Pickers Friend decal on the reverse. Premium Gotoh open-gear tuners provide smooth, precise tuning, while the beautiful Truetone Gloss finish highlights the natural character of the solid tonewoods.

With its exceptional craftsmanship, distinctive large-soundhole design, and powerful acoustic voice, the Eastman E20D-TC-LSH delivers outstanding performance for serious bluegrass players, recording musicians, and acoustic enthusiasts seeking vintage-inspired tone with modern reliability.

Includes a premium Eastman hardshell case for protection and transport.
