Yairi FYM70 Herringbone Masterworks Folk/OM Acoustic Guitar w/ Hardshell Case – Sunburst

The Yairi FYM70 Herringbone pairs classic acoustic styling with meticulous Japanese craftsmanship. Its gloss Sunburst finish and herringbone detailing give this Masterworks Folk/OM a traditional character, while a solid AAA Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides provide a rich, expressive voice.

Sitka spruce brings clarity and dynamic range, complemented by rosewood’s depth and harmonic complexity. The comfortable Folk/OM body suits intricate fingerstyle arrangements, melodic picking and rhythmic accompaniment, offering definition that allows individual notes to remain clear within fuller chord voicings.

Hand-carved FST6 forward-shifted bracing with asymmetric tone bars uses lighter braces to encourage soundboard response while maintaining structural support. Yairi’s ebony Direct Coupled bridge transfers string vibration into the top, paired with an extended dovetail neck joint that reflects the workshop’s careful approach to construction.

The one-piece mahogany neck features a semi-gloss finish and an ebony fingerboard, with a 25-inch scale length and 44 mm nut width providing a comfortable platform for expressive playing. Naturally seasoned premium tonewoods and hands-on attention to the neck, bracing and soundboard are central to the instrument’s craftsmanship.

Ivoroid binding, abalone and mother-of-pearl details, and gold Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony buttons complete the elegant appearance. A bone nut and saddle and ebony bridge pins round out the appointments. Handcrafted in Kani, Japan, and supplied with a hardshell case, the FYM70 Herringbone combines timeless looks with a versatile acoustic voice.
