The Yairi GYM70CE combines the rich voice of spruce and rosewood with the versatility of a Grand Auditorium cutaway. Handcrafted in Kani, Japan, this Masterworks acoustic-electric features a solid AAA Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, framed by a striking gloss Shadowburst finish.

Sitka spruce brings clarity and dynamic range, while rosewood adds deep bass and harmonic richness. The Grand Auditorium body balances fullness with definition, making the GYM70CE a versatile choice for fingerstyle arrangements, melodic picking and rhythmic accompaniment. Its cutaway provides convenient access to the upper frets.

Hand-carved FST6 forward-shifted bracing with asymmetric tone bars uses lighter braces to encourage soundboard movement while maintaining structural support. Yairi’s ebony Direct Coupled bridge transfers string vibration into the top, complemented by an extended dovetail neck joint and careful attention to the instrument’s construction.

A one-piece mahogany neck with a semi-gloss finish meets an ebony fingerboard, with a 25½-inch scale length and 44 mm nut width providing a comfortable platform for expressive playing. Ivoroid binding, abalone and mother-of-pearl details, and gold Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony buttons add elegance to the Shadowburst styling. A bone nut and saddle and ebony bridge pins complete the appointments.

Equipped with the LR Baggs HiFi pickup system and supplied with a hardshell case, the GYM70CE brings together acoustic depth, refined craftsmanship and the flexibility for amplified performance.
