The Alvarez MG70CE Custom combines all-solid tonewoods, enhanced playing comfort, and refined appointments in a versatile Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric. A solid AAA Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides deliver a rich, articulate voice with full bass, clear trebles, and the dynamic range for both delicate fingerstyle playing and powerful strumming.

Comfort is central to the Custom design. A slim ebony bevel armrest softens the edge beneath your picking arm, making longer playing sessions more comfortable. A second bevel on the back creates a chest rest, easing the point where the guitar leans against your body. Together, these contours give the MG70CE Custom an inviting feel and a distinctive appearance.

Alvarez’s FS6 forward-shifted, scalloped bracing allows a larger area of the soundboard to vibrate freely, supporting open projection and a quick response. Carefully selected tonewoods and considered brace shaping work together to produce clear note separation and a broad tonal palette.

The Shadowburst gloss top is complemented by natural gloss rosewood back and sides, premium abalone purfling, and mother-of-pearl inlays. An East Indian rosewood fingerboard and headstock facing, open-gear tuners, ebony bridge pins, and a bone nut and saddle complete the appointments. The cutaway provides easy access to the upper frets, while the 25½" scale length and 1¾" nut width offer a versatile platform for chord work and melodic playing.

For amplified performance, the LR Baggs HiFi system pairs dual bridge-plate sensors with a built-in preamp to capture the guitar’s balance, definition, and dynamics. Its lightweight, non-invasive design preserves the instrument’s acoustic character, while the closed sensors help resist feedback on stage.

An Alvarez AFC30 FlexiCase is included.
