The Alvarez MP66E Shadowburst combines an all-solid African mahogany construction with a compact parlor body and elegant appointments. Its warm, woody voice and focused response make it an inviting choice for fingerstyle playing, blues, and intimate acoustic accompaniment.

Solid African mahogany is used for the top, back, and sides, giving the MP66E a cohesive tonal character with clear mids and rounded notes. Alvarez’s FS6 forward-shifted, scalloped bracing allows more of the soundboard to vibrate freely, supporting articulation, resonance, and expressive dynamics within the smaller body.

The Shadowburst gloss finish highlights the mahogany top, while hand-crafted paua abalone purfling frames the body with a subtle touch of colour. Natural gloss back and sides, an East Indian rosewood fingerboard and headstock facing, premium mother-of-pearl inlays, and open-gear tuners complete its refined appearance.

With a 24" scale length, 1¾" nut width, and 12-fret neck joint, the MP66E offers a comfortable platform for relaxed chord work and detailed fingerpicking. A bi-level rosewood bridge, ebony bridge pins, and bone nut and saddle round out its premium appointments.

For amplified performance, the LR Baggs HiFi system pairs dual bridge-plate sensors with a built-in preamp to capture the guitar’s balance, definition, and dynamics. Its lightweight, non-invasive design preserves the instrument’s acoustic character, while the closed sensors help resist feedback on stage.
