Yairi GYM74ce Masterworks Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar w/ Hardshell Case – Natural

The Yairi GYM74ce pairs the expressive warmth of vintage redwood with the depth of solid East Indian rosewood. Handcrafted in Kani, Japan, this Masterworks Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric combines refined appointments, comfortable proportions and a natural gloss finish that showcases its distinctive tonewoods.

A solid AAA vintage redwood top brings sensitivity and warmth to delicate picking, while rosewood back and sides contribute fullness and harmonic richness. The Grand Auditorium body provides a versatile balance of depth and definition for fingerstyle arrangements, melodic playing and rhythmic accompaniment. Its cutaway offers convenient access to the upper frets.

Hand-carved FST6 forward-shifted bracing with asymmetric tone bars uses lighter braces to encourage soundboard movement while maintaining structural support. Yairi’s ebony Direct Coupled bridge transfers string vibration into the top, complemented by an extended dovetail neck joint and careful attention to construction.

A one-piece mahogany neck with a semi-gloss finish meets an ebony fingerboard, with a 25½-inch scale length and 44 mm nut width providing a comfortable playing platform. Ivoroid binding, abalone and mother-of-pearl details, and gold Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony buttons complete the elegant appearance. A bone nut and saddle and ebony bridge pins round out the appointments.

Equipped with the LR Baggs HiFi pickup system and supplied with a hardshell case, the GYM74ce brings together a rich acoustic voice, meticulous Japanese craftsmanship and the flexibility for amplified performance.
