In the small town of Kani, nestled in the hills north of Nagoya, Japan, the K. Yairi guitar factory has been crafting instruments by hand for over 80 years. Every neck spoke-shaved, every brace hand-carved, every top tuned to perfection — the DYM66HD is the direct expression of a lineage that cannot be replicated.

The Alvarez-Yairi partnership spans 55 uninterrupted years, built on a shared obsession with quality and design. Some of the luthiers at Yairi have devoted more than five decades to the craft — their knowledge now flowing into a new generation of builders who have chosen guitar making as their life's work. The result is an instrument you feel as much as hear.

The DYM66HD introduces Yairi's new FST6 bracing system — evolved from the FST2 but with lighter-weight braces that strike a refined balance between structural strength and acoustic freedom. The outcome is a heightened richness of tone, a more robust and clear bass response, and a compelling openness that responds almost intuitively to the player's touch.

An all-Honduran Mahogany build — top, back, and sides — delivers the warm, focused voice the Honduran Series is celebrated for. Ebony fingerboard, bridge, headstock plate, and bridge pins complete an uncompromising spec, finished with Gotoh 510 Gold tuners and a Deluxe Wood Case.
