Yairi DYM70 Masterworks Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar w/ Hardshell Case – Natural

The Yairi DYM70 pairs the power and depth of a dreadnought with the rich acoustic character of solid spruce and rosewood. Handcrafted in Kani, Japan, this Masterworks guitar features a solid AAA Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, finished in natural gloss to highlight its classic appearance.

Sitka spruce provides clarity and dynamic range, while rosewood contributes deep bass and complex overtones. Responsive to delicate picking and capable of full-bodied strumming, the DYM70 offers a versatile voice for fingerstyle arrangements, flatpicking and vocal accompaniment. Balanced bass, mids and treble give chords fullness while preserving definition in melodic passages.

Hand-carved FST6 bracing with asymmetric tone bars encourages an open, responsive soundboard. Yairi’s ebony Direct Coupled bridge transfers string vibration into the top, complemented by an extended dovetail neck joint and careful attention to construction.

The one-piece mahogany neck features a semi-gloss finish and a rosewood fingerboard with an abalone inlay at the 12th fret. A 25½-inch scale length and 44 mm nut width provide a comfortable platform for chord work and expressive picking, with the neck joining the body at the 14th fret.

Ivoroid binding, a rosewood headstock plate and gold Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony buttons complete the refined appearance. A bone nut and saddle and ebony bridge pins round out the appointments. Supplied with a brown Tolex hardshell case, the DYM70 combines a full, dynamic acoustic voice with meticulous Japanese craftsmanship.
