The Yairi PYM60 pairs the intimate feel of a traditional parlor guitar with the detail and refinement of Japanese hand craftsmanship. Its gloss Sunburst finish frames a solid AAA Sitka spruce top, complemented by solid African mahogany back and sides for a clear, warm voice with a focused midrange.

This tonewood combination suits fingerstyle, blues picking and relaxed acoustic accompaniment. Sitka spruce provides articulation and dynamic range, while mahogany adds definition and warmth. The compact parlor body keeps the playing experience comfortable, with a 24-inch scale length and a traditional 12th-fret neck joint.

Hand-carved FST6 forward-shifted bracing with asymmetric tone bars uses lighter braces to encourage a responsive soundboard while maintaining structural support. Paired with Yairi’s ebony Direct Coupled bridge, the design supports an immediate response, balanced projection and expressive tonal detail.

A one-piece mahogany neck with a semi-gloss finish meets an ebony fingerboard, with a 44 mm nut width providing room for intricate chord shapes and fingerstyle work. The extended dovetail neck joint reflects the careful construction found throughout the Masterworks series.

Ivoroid binding, an ebony headstock plate and gold Gotoh tuners with ebony-style buttons complement the Sunburst finish. A bone nut and saddle and ebony bridge pins complete the appointments. Handcrafted in Kani, Japan, and supplied with a hardshell case, the PYM60 offers traditional character in a thoughtfully refined instrument.
