The Yairi PYM66HD brings the warmth and character of vintage Honduran mahogany to a compact, traditional parlor design. Handcrafted in Kani, Japan, its solid mahogany top, back and sides create a cohesive acoustic voice, complemented by a natural gloss finish and understated appointments.

All-mahogany construction lends the PYM66HD a warm, focused sound with expressive mids and rounded trebles. Its intimate character suits blues picking, melodic fingerstyle and vocal accompaniment, giving individual notes definition and chord voicings a rich, woody texture.

The comfortable parlor body, 24-inch scale length and 12th-fret neck joint make it an inviting instrument for relaxed playing sessions. A 44 mm nut width provides room for detailed fingerstyle work, while the one-piece mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard offer a refined playing feel.

Hand-carved FST6 forward-shifted bracing with asymmetric tone bars uses lighter braces to encourage soundboard response while maintaining structural support. Yairi’s ebony Direct Coupled bridge transfers string vibration into the top, paired with an extended dovetail neck joint that reflects the workshop’s careful approach to construction.

Ivoroid binding, an ebony headstock plate and gold Gotoh tuners with ebony-style buttons complete the elegant appearance. A bone nut and saddle and ebony bridge pins round out the appointments. Supplied with a hardshell case, the PYM66HD combines distinctive tonewoods, comfortable proportions and meticulous Japanese craftsmanship.
