The Yairi PYM70 brings refined craftsmanship and an expressive acoustic voice to a comfortable parlor body. A solid AAA Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides deliver clear, shimmering trebles, rich harmonic detail and a focused response well suited to fingerstyle, ragtime and blues.

Its compact proportions and 24-inch scale length create an inviting playing experience, while the 12th-fret neck joint reflects the traditional character of the parlor design. From delicate melodic passages to rhythmic picking, the PYM70 offers articulation and musical depth in an instrument that sits comfortably in your lap.

Hand-carved FST2 bracing uses a forward-shifted X-brace with centre-scooped scalloping and asymmetric tone bars to encourage balance, string separation and projection. A carefully applied thin gloss finish allows the spruce soundboard to respond freely.

Yairi’s ebony Direct Coupled bridge anchors the strings through the soundboard behind the saddle, increasing the break angle and transferring vibration directly into the top. A one-piece mahogany neck with an extended dovetail joint and an ebony fingerboard completes the thoughtfully crafted construction.

Ivoroid binding, hand-cut pearl and abalone details, and gold Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony buttons give the PYM70 an elegant finish. Handcrafted in Japan using naturally seasoned premium tonewoods and supplied with a hardshell case, this Masterworks parlor is a distinctive choice for players drawn to intimate acoustic tone and traditional styling.
