Bourgeois Downeast Series GAC/DE — Koa Limited Edition
There are guitars you admire, and then there are guitars you can’t put down. The Bourgeois Downeast GAC/DE Koa Limited Edition belongs firmly in the second category. A grand auditorium with a Venetian cutaway, hand-voiced in Lewiston, Maine by Dana Bourgeois — and dressed in some of the most visually stunning tonewoods on earth.
Hawaiian koa back and sides give this guitar a tonal identity that is entirely its own. Sitting between mahogany and rosewood on the tonal spectrum, koa delivers a warm, articulate midrange with a glassy shimmer in the highs and a natural compression that makes everything you play feel musical. It’s a wood that rewards sensitivity — the more nuance you bring, the more it gives back. The grand auditorium body balances projection and comfort, while the Venetian cutaway extends your reach into the upper register without compromising resonance. Onboard electronics ensure the guitar’s natural voice translates faithfully to any stage or studio.
This is a limited edition instrument. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
