Bourgeois M5F Black-Top Mandolin w/ Hardshell Case – Black Gloss

The Bourgeois M5F Black-Top combines classic F-style design with a striking finish and carefully selected Aged Tone woods. Its hand-carved, torrefied Adirondack spruce top is paired with torrefied European maple back and sides, bringing clarity, definition, and character to an instrument equally suited to melodic picking and rhythmic accompaniment.

The gloss-black soundboard contrasts beautifully with flamed maple finished in a deep Cordovan-red stain. Ivoroid binding outlines the body and ebony fingerboard, giving the M5F a distinctive look rooted in traditional mandolin design.

A 13-7/8" scale length and 1-5/32" nut width provide familiar proportions for mandolin players. The ebony fingerboard, Golden Age satin nickel tuners, and custom Bill James tailpiece complete a thoughtfully appointed instrument.

Supplied with a Loar-style rectangular hardshell case, the M5F Black-Top offers an expressive voice and an elegant alternative to the traditional sunburst mandolin.
