The Yairi DYM70 brings together the power of a dreadnought and the tonal richness of solid spruce and rosewood. Handcrafted in Japan, this Masterworks acoustic features a solid AAA Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, complemented by a classic gloss Sunburst finish.

Sitka spruce provides clarity and dynamic range, while rosewood adds deep bass and complex overtones. Responsive to delicate picking yet capable of strong, full-bodied strumming, the DYM70 offers a versatile voice for vocal accompaniment, flatpicking and fingerstyle arrangements. Balanced bass, mids and treble give chords breadth while keeping individual notes defined.

Hand-carved FST6 forward-shifted bracing with asymmetric tone bars supports an open, responsive soundboard. Yairi’s ebony Direct Coupled bridge transfers string vibration into the top, paired with an extended dovetail neck joint that reflects the workshop’s careful approach to construction.

The one-piece mahogany neck features a semi-gloss finish and an ebony fingerboard, with a 25½-inch scale length and 44 mm nut width providing a versatile playing platform. The neck joins the body at the 14th fret, preserving familiar dreadnought proportions.

Ivoroid binding, abalone and mother-of-pearl details, and gold Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony buttons add refinement to the Sunburst styling. A bone nut and saddle and ebony bridge pins complete the appointments. Supplied with a hardshell case, the DYM70 combines a commanding acoustic voice with meticulous Japanese craftsmanship.
