The Alvarez MD66CE combines the warm, woody character of all-solid African mahogany with the power and projection of a dreadnought. Its articulate voice delivers clear, robust bass and rich mids, with a quick response that suits expressive fingerpicking, driving rhythm parts, and full-bodied acoustic accompaniment.

Solid African mahogany is used for the top, back, and sides, supported by Alvarez’s FS6 forward-shifted, scalloped bracing. This design allows a larger area of the soundboard to vibrate freely, encouraging open projection while retaining the focused character of a hardwood top.

The Shadowburst gloss finish extends across the top, back, and sides, highlighting the mahogany grain. An East Indian rosewood fingerboard and headstock facing, premium mother-of-pearl inlays, and open-gear tuners complete its understated styling. A slim ebony bevel armrest adds comfort beneath your picking arm, while the cutaway provides convenient access to the upper frets.

A 25½" scale length, 1¾" nut width, and African mahogany neck offer a versatile platform for chord work and melodic playing. Alvarez’s bi-level rosewood bridge, ebony bridge pins, and bone nut and saddle round out the premium appointments.

For amplified performance, the LR Baggs HiFi system pairs dual bridge-plate sensors with a built-in preamp to capture the guitar’s balance, definition, and dynamics. Its lightweight, non-invasive design preserves the instrument’s acoustic character, while the closed sensors help resist feedback on stage.

An Alvarez AFC30 FlexiCase is included.
