The Alvarez MF60E Herringbone brings together all-solid construction, traditional styling, and the balanced voice that makes an OM such a versatile instrument. With a solid AAA Sitka spruce top and solid African mahogany back and sides, it delivers clear note separation, warm tonal character, and even volume across all six strings.

Designed for articulation and a quick response, the MF60E pairs the natural focus of its smaller body with a lightweight FS6 bracing system. The forward-shifted, scalloped X-brace allows more of the soundboard to vibrate freely, preserving the OM’s round, defined notes while encouraging open projection. From delicate fingerstyle passages to rhythmic strumming, it responds with clarity and balance.

A natural gloss finish highlights the tonewoods, while herringbone detailing gives the guitar a classic acoustic look. An East Indian rosewood fingerboard and headstock facing, premium mother-of-pearl inlays, and open-gear tuners add refined finishing touches. Alvarez’s bi-level rosewood bridge, ebony bridge pins, and bone nut and saddle complete the premium appointments.

The 24 13/16" scale length offers a comfortable playing feel, while the 1¾" nut width provides room for intricate chord voicings and fingerstyle work. Its traditional OM body makes it an inviting choice for players seeking an expressive, versatile acoustic.

For amplified performance, the LR Baggs HiFi system combines dual bridge-plate sensors with a built-in preamp to capture the guitar’s tonal balance, definition, and dynamics. The closed sensor design also helps resist feedback, supporting a straightforward transition from acoustic playing to the stage.
