These guitars were made by Sakai and imported to Germany, where they were famously sold at the mall chain Hertie, earning them the nickname "Hertiecaster".
The EG-1 features a specific type of pickup that was also used in the Top Twenty guitar, famously utilized by Robert Smith of The Cure.
